Elyse Nguyen is a third year medical student at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine with an interest in pursuing Psychiatry. She has past research and current projects in peripartum mood disorders and substance abuse/addiction. Having spent time in Richmond, Virginia for the last 7 years, she is interested in working with underserved populations and addressing health disparities/barriers to healthcare.
