Evguenia Makovkina received her BA in neurobiology from Harvard College and her MD from Weill Cornell Medicine. After early graduation from medical school due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital assisting discharged patients with oxygen monitoring remotely. Evguenia is now a fourth-year resident in the Adult Psychiatry training program at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. She will be completing a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at Weill Cornell after graduating from residency. Her academic interests include improving ways to deliver care to patients with psychiatric and medical comorbidities, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and understanding contributors to healthcare fragmentation.
